:: CLEAR SUMMER - ReShade for TS4 by amoebae ::

A new ReShade preset for The Sims 4, which aims to banish unsightly blue shadows, and generally make things feel clear and bright.

Installation and usage instructions (short!) included in a ReadMe in the download. Read the ReadMe. Only install one of the following at any time. Always back up your data beforehand: the only person responsible for lost or corrupted data is you.

Note #1: I use NoBlu and NoGlo by @lumialoversims. If you don’t use these mods, your results indoors might differ slightly from mine, but not by too much. I do not use Enhanced Lighting by @zerbu, so if you do your results outdoors will differ from mine.

Note #2: Clear Summer, and ReShade more generally, will not work in Mac OS, due to the nature of how it injects into the game engine (via the dll). Therefore, to use Clear Summer you must be running TS4 on PC.

Note #3: One user has reported errors upon loading when using WinRar to unzip the ReShade files. To rule this out in your game please consider using 7zip.

UPDATE 2016-09-17 – On the main ReShade.me page, ReShade 2.0.3 now comes with Framework 1.1, which won’t work with the main version of Clear Summer. You instead need to download Framework 2.0 which is located underneath the main download. Then please follow the installation instructions as normal. I will update the readme to reflect the change.

UPDATE 2016-10-16 – ReShade 2.0.3 is no longer available to download on the ReShade.me website. I have received permission to package up all the files you need to install the main version of Clear Summer, and have updated the download links and installation instructions inside the ReadMe.txt. Please be aware that shader files (ending .fx) are usually not allowed to be redistributed, and this is a special case while the move to ReShade 3.0 is underway. Those using the Legacy version of Clear Summer should download ReShade 1.1.0 from here.
